The website was set-up by Scotts Opticians of Kington, Herefordshire. The ethos behind the project is to offer something different and fun, if possible. The aim is to provide the most competitive products available which would also give something back to the wider optical community, to the people in real need.
The website set-up by v8Media also of Kington is dedicated to providing a great product at a great price whilst helping those less fortunate in the process. With a superb range of high quality spectacle frames and sunglasses from designers such as Clavin Klein, Elizabeth Arden, D&G and Jaeger it's enough to put a smile on anyone's face. But the biggest smile of all is on the face of individual in the developing world that sees properly for the very first time.
For every frame purchased a set of spectacles is collected and sent to Vision Aid. Vision Aid Overseas is a charity dedicated to helping people in the developing world whose lives are blighted by poor eyesight, particularly where spectacles can help.
It works by sending abroad teams of volunteer optometrists and dispensing opticians who set up clinics, screen large number of patients and provide appropriate spectacles.
