The Web-Design Process
We have a dedicated team of specialists who together with yourselves will form a project team. Inhouse we use the latest technologies, working within our well established design standards to ensure efficient use of our time and guarantee the quality of our output.
To ensure a successful web project, a number of phases need to take place where input both from client and V8Media are discussed and agreed. Our meetings may be physical or virtual.
Step 1 - Plan
Requirements gathering takes place. Your objectives, target market and how to organise information on your website.
We will work with you to reveal your site objectives, who your target market are and uncover all the relevant information we need to market your business effectively online. A sitemap will be created in this stage showing you all the pages on your site and how your information will be structured.
Step 2 - Design
Once we understand your business requirements and who your users are we can start to bring them to life.
A user interface will be created from the information in the planning stage. Our designers will then move on to create a fresh look and feel for your website looking at things like colours and imagery. This is an iterative process and we try and make sure you are 100% happy before we go into build.
Step 3 - Build
Once you are happy with the design, we will go straight into back-end development (the technical stuff!).
Our trained website developers all build to W3C standards using clean code and semantic markup. We can offer a range of accessibility levels which you can choose from. Our bespoke content management system (ACMS) will usually be integrated into your website for you to easily update content.
Step 4 - Manage
So, your site goes live and thats it... Wrong! We then track and analyse how well your site is achieving the goals we set out.
Our e-marketing specialist will work with you to track users and discover what is working and what isn't. We can determine what search terms are used and give you advice on how to get your site to the top of the search engines. It is important to keep your website up-to-date and fresh which is where we can help.
